"My name is Matt, a veteran of the U.S. Army Infantry. Like many veterans I struggled immensely after my time in the service and tour in Afghanistan which led to irreparable relationships and homelessness. I first met Phong Tran through a good friend of mine and he immediately invited me to be a part of his plan for the TranZen Homestead. It was exactly what I had been looking for; a new sense of purpose that had been lacking since I was discharged from the service. It has opened up connections with people in similar situations and provided resources that are typically difficult to attain, like having my eyesight fixed to near perfection.
This property gives veterans a place to call home while they not only work the land to improve it for those to come, but most importantly improve themselves and their overall life situation. Reintegration into society and productive functionality is what I personally have been working towards and what I truly believe all veterans coming home from war ultimately want. It will be difficult to say the least, but with perseverance and overall goals in mind I believe you only stand to grow from it."
